Global Communication Outline

Topic: What is global communication and how has it promoted the globalization witnessed in the past ten years?


Intro: Global communication has promoted globalization in the past ten years drastically by changing the global network between countries through communication. Countries gain knowledge through Internet and media. Due to global communication, countries are able to gain knowledge on different cultures. Organizations like United Nations are an example of how countries are starting to work together politically.  Before technology became increasingly easy, communication was hindered between countries because of distance, time, and language.

Thesis Statement: Global communication is the process of transmitting and receiving on a world-wide scale, and has promoted the globalization on social, cultural, and political levels.

Body:

I. Social Level
   a. Communication in past years wasn't always easy
        1. Distance
        2. Time
        3. Language
   b. Technology has become better
        1. More effective
        2. Faster way to communicate
II. Cultural Level
     a. Increased knowledge about other cultures
         1. Language
         2. Daily Life
         3. Interactions between cultures
     b. Increased knowledge of cultures due to media
         1. Internet
         2. Television
III. Political Level
      a. Countries working together politically
          1. United Nations
          2. Mercy Corps
     b. Knowledge of what other countries are doing politically
         1. Media
         2. Internet

Conclusion: In conclusion, global communication has promoted globalization in the past ten years increasingly fast. Globalization has become easier to accomplish because of Internet and media. Globally, countries are not hindered anymore by distance, time and language. Globalization has been affected on a social, cultural, and political level.
