1. Emily Schleif Dream of Events
Her story was very well written. I felt a connection with the main character as she was experiencing these different things throughout the story. The twist at the end, where it turns out to be just a dream was a surprise and really added to the story. Overall it had thought put into it and is a great story. I also ranked it high because she used the thirteen items in a very creative way.
2. Pa Kou Lee Story in a Box
Her story was very interesting to read. It kept my attention and was written well. This story had a very cute ending and she had a nice choice of words throughout the story. She made you feel like you were there at the beach. She also used the thirteen items in a creative way allowing them not to hinder the story.
3. Chris Crawford
He had a good use of vocabulary; which added to his story. He used grammar correctly and overall the story had a nice flow to it. His story was able to create emotion which I think is important.
